Fiat TC 2.0Lt Max Power

Post by vcg »

Hi Guy,

I kindly ask for your advice, as I recently achieved my personal best on a tuned 2.0 Fiat TC and I am on heat to go further...

Fiat 2.0Lt TC head
46mm BMW inlet valves
36.5 mm parallel inlet ports all material removed from roof and sides
38mm Mitsubishi diesel exhaust valves
35.5 mm exhaust ports
GC triple springs
Deshrouded around valves at max cam lift radius
30-45-60 seats 1.5mm thick at 45 deg
Fiat bronze guides shortened but not shaved and bullet shape made
Schrick 11.7mm max lift, 300 deg duration, tdc lifts at 103 deg 4.9in and 4.6ex
11.2 CR
Dellorto 45 DHLA 40 chokes
46-50-60mm OD exhaust system (around 42-46-55mm ID)

My 124 Sport Coupe race car dynoed at 181bhp at 7250rpm.

I would like to improve on that. I did my research, and I am thinking going to 38mm parallel inlet ports and 37mm exhaust ports.
Do you think the present port sizes are limiting, and shall I proceed to enlarging them?

Let me see the power and torque curves please Vassilis. No, you don't need to go bigger on either port.

Do you have any photos of the head in prep and valves?
