Hi Guy,
Do you supply, or do you know someone who can supply a pair of Vauxhall 2300 HS 16V rally cams? I need such a pair for such a rally car. Thanks.

- Rare Head, similar to the Lotus 907, but far from being the same.

Re: Vauxhall HS 2300 cams
I have a pair of GC spec nitrided steel billets for that motor, new (Newman) profiles are IIID in, IIIA ex, both around 300 deg duration and best run with GC triple springs. The valvetrain is of course Fiat, so presents no particular mysteries for me.
I also have race rods, forged pistons, verniers, Cometic head gasket (special dowelled GC spec) straight from stock.
To guide you it may be of interest that I got an advanced simulation done to prove-out that cam choice, see att. With gasflowed head flat-top forged pistons the cam FL suggested by the sim was 92 deg (184 deg LCA), which in my view would give an impractical level of lift at tdc, so accepting that the top end might not be as flat as the graph indicates I would use 100 deg in LATDC 5.25mm, 102 deg ex LATDC 4.73mm. The header would be best 4-2-1, 1&4 linked and 2&3, 20" py 45mm bore, 17.5" sy, 57mm bore, tailpipe 2.5" bore. Based on 45s with 40 chokes, 60mm rampipe.
