ATA BANDS

Post by superbike »

I have been using cartridge rolls for 3 years now ! I believe they are good for head work and have there place but after trying the ATA 50/80/120 grit bands and 15 by 25 with 6mm shank holder i shall not go back.

I have always compared the finish of my ports to other peoples thinking theres looked better. After today i realise its the tooling i have been using. The ATA bands leave a really nice fine and neat radiused finish, even a cross hatched finish if you wish, are really good at straightening runners out and tackle short side radiuses with ease. The 50 grit band removes aluminum fast compaired to a roll of the same grade.

The 15 by 25 bands i feel comfortable in saying they are good with 26- 35mm ports. The bands and holder just gives good feel through the tooling with no skipping or jumping .

I give this product ten stars for being professional !!!!!!

These are Atabands & their associated expanding holders. 6mm shank. 36 grit, 80 grit, 120 and 150 grit. I use them by the hundred and wouldn't waste my time with anything else for post burr smoothing. Light oil improves removal rate and stops them 'polishing'.
