Was just wondering what are my options for running engine in properly?
I was just going to run it for a thousand or so miles without driving it hard at all and then build up the amount of revs i use gradually?
i've been advised to have it run in and live mapped all at the same time by same people, is this a good idea?
If i choose to do this myself, running the original chip just until can afford a live map, will i do any long term damage as i will DEFINITELY be over fuelling as i've changed stock injectors to 440cc ones??
Mods carried out are:
Fully flowed head, and inlet manifold,
84.4mm forged pistons
Whole of bottom end lightened and balanced
C&b stradale massimo (fast road) cams,
440 cc injectors
fuel pressure regulator
Brand new t3 cosworth turbo + 31 actuator (adjustable)
Decat pipe
exhaust is peco system from down pipe back (3"?)
Forge blow off valve
Simota carbon air filter with straight induction pipe

Nik, hi
you definitely need to get it mapped and run-in at the same time on a rolling road, or at least mapped up to some modest rpm/load threshold to enable 500 miles gentle running-in and then back again for full-load checks.
Yes, real possibility of severe engine damage running it at all without optimised calibration.
