Supercharging the 2.0L TC with a twin screw compressor

Post by Snakeman »

Hi Guy,

The instalation of the Volumex (Roots type) unit onto the 8V TC engine is well documented, but there seems to be more modern vehicles fitted with twin-screw super chargers and I was wondering if anyone had installed one of these to a TC. such as Sprintex unit

These compressors are reportedly more thermally efficient (produce less heat) than the Volumex so would provide an increase the volumetric efficency.

Any thoughts, experience on this?

Kind regards

yes, I have some exp on that. The Sprintex units are beautifully crafted, give more boost and are more efficient. Not, however an easy job to mount them up.
