Ok, just looking for some comfirmation on cam timing full lift adjustment with variable cam gears. To advance the intake FL from 110degrees to say 104, rotate the cam(cam gear) clockwise and to adjust the exhaust FL from 110 to 106 rotate the cam anti-clockwise. Correct?
Thanks
Ted

Re: Cam Timing
Inlet:
The inlet valve is opening up. If FL is currently 110 deg and you want it at 104 ATDC you would indeed turn the camwheel clockwise to open the valve more, by (110-104)/2 deg = 3 cam deg
Exhaust:
The ex valve is closing. If FL is currently 110 deg BTDC and you want 106 you would turn the camwheel anti-clockwise by 2 cam deg, again to get the valve 'more open'.
Think of it in terms of the valve event at TDC. There the ex valve is closing and the inlet opening up. The closer to TDC the FL event is the more open they will be there.
