Exhaust header for 124 Spider

Post by FMO »

Hi!

I want to replace my stock 1800 4-2-1 exhaust header to a better one.
Remi Lovhoiden has built a 2,0 L 130 TC engine for my 124 spider. The next step is a better exhaust header , use the intake cam as a exhaust cam, and put a better one to the intake. Does anyone have some experiance or suggestions where to find better exhaust header? What about http://www.allisonsautomotive.com/headers.htm?

Here are the engine spec:

New Abarth 130TC big valve head,
10:1+ pistons
130 TC head - 36 mm parallel intake - 34 mm exhaust + valve + guide + seat mods
44 IDF - 36 chokes, F16, 145 mains, 180 air
Inlet cam billet - 10.45 true lift, 280 degrees, 2.5 lift TDC - timed 110
Exhaust cam 1608 - (9.3 lift on lobes) - timed 110
Exhaust manifold 4-2 cast iron into 2-1 secondary pipes - (standard 1800 sport) - 2 " free flow system from manifold and back

I have Allisons header and full exhast minus his muffler on my 2 liter with an 1800 head, this setup was built to GC's fast road spec's. I cannot say exactly how much this system added to my car because I did the whole thing in one shot. Im running the orignal design, a later design used smaller primaries that led to larger secondaries for more torque. My pipes are one size. Im very happy with my setup. It would be nice to have dyno numbers to see the actual difference though.

feel free to contact me with any questions regarding my header/exhaust system. As Rey mentioned our header now features a stepper design. It makes great midrange torque and still features terrific top end flow.

these pics are of the first design headers. Current versions differ slightly. Not only are they stepper design now, but the tube routing is slightly different to obtain longer runner length. I'll post pics of the most current version within a day

pics will be reposted per Guys' request
