Hi Guy,

Can the Valve shims for a Fiat TC be surface ground?
I have a few that have been butchered in the past and thought I might fix them up. I suppose the question really is, are they hardened all the way through or just surface hardened?

Because of potential problems with parallelism face to face it's not a practice I'd recommend on old shims.
