Well i like knife edging. I think it stops the crank throwing up the oil, like a aerofoil through water.
For a a proper answer for bottom end mods, ask Richard Beaty at http://www.wolfdirectracing.com/ who has had much experiance with the Fire engine and has developed a very strong bottom end.

Cristian, I could write for hours about dry sump in GC V/W. You cannot make a comparison between knife-edging and dry sump because they do different things but if you want the ultimate in attainable lubrication reliabilty you go dry sump. My goodness it is expensive to do, I have two in build - both specials with unique belt drives. Not for the simply curious.
Please guys, start a new thread with new Fire engine things not really associated with the intial thread, it's not helpful for foreign readers. And they are many.
