2.0 16VT cam timing query

Hy Guy
I would like to ask what will be the right cam timing set up
for 2.0 16V turbo converted Tipo engine?
I will use exhaust cam from Integrale 16V,
full lift 7.5 mm, duration 210 degrees
and N/A inlet cam from my Tipo,
full lift 10 mm,duration 226 degrees.
At what degrees I should adjust the full lift, both of the cams ?
Merry Xmas :)

Iliyan

I'd tend to go with the Inegrale 16v OE cam timing in that situation, early opening inlet 103deg ATDC and late opening exhaust 105 deg BTDC.
Should work fine with your setup but be careful with your piston to valve clearances - dry-build to make sure you have enough - details in GC V/W see

Hy Guy,
I did a new diagram with the new set up, that you recommended.
The pistons will be with very deep pockets.
At this moment they looks like on picture, and soon the valve pockets will be milled off, according to this 3D modeling. The depth will be 5mm.
I know it is too much, but I need more volume in piston dish to achieve 8:1 compression ratio, because the head was skimmed off in the past, when the engine was N/A.

Hi Guy
I have one more question related with this cam set up.
I am wandering what the valve clearances should be.
Should I stay with factory clearances?
inlet 0.36mm-0.44mm
exhaust 0.46mm-0.54mm
The expected output will be around 320 bhp, and the turbine housing of my GT2860RS is T3 style 0.63A/R , the same I think as Delta Evo1, if this affects the clearance of ex. valves ?

Use the OE clearances or you'll damage the cams or valvetrain, because the opening and closing ramps won't work properly- OK?

OK, I catch the point, thank you :)

Nice turbo choice. But remember its still a 0.63 A/R GT28, which is not really anything like a T3 Integrale.
