I have an integrale engine I am hoping to use for an in-line application,
What problems am I likley to face other than the obvious external manifolds, mounting and the need for an inline gearbox.
Would the late Fiat 131 gearbox be upto the torque of a standard integrale lump?

I'm not advising on that, I'm truly sorry. To be honest general discussion is a better place for 'how-to' on conversions, I don't get enough time to advise on what's easiest, I come in once the core parts have been sourced.
FWIW it's all but impossible to do, I advise - forget it. The balance shaft setup totally fouls the starter with TC flywheel and any RWD gearbox. Yes, I know some brave souls have done it and I advised one RAF guy very extensively how to do it some years back, but it needed endless messing around with cut, weld, machine and bellhousings all over the place, I'm not going thru it again.
Most people use the Croma Turbo or 131 2 liter bottom end for that layout.
If you commit to one of those we can talk again about engine internals required, fuel and ignition systems.
