Hi Alex
If you want to have an exact replica of your favorite Seat 124 ex work I think you must contact an expert in this field; his name is Dirk Marchel and he have original and very good replicas of this kind of suspension (he is an Abarth expert). I saw him twice on classic car different exhibitions and always I saw rear suspensions parts. Personaly I bought an original intake Abarth camshaft once. He work for Bielstein Company . Also ,if you want, I can make picture with my suspension (Abarth 124 Rally) because the car is now under restoration.
Best regards
Horia

Re: Fiat independent rear axle
Hi GUYS,
From all I know Walezy has the biggest experience with rebuilding rear suspension in 131 abarth I have ever met. In fact he is providing me with data and guidance in my attempt to equip my 131abarth replica with original rear suspension and differential.
The pictures posted by Sumplug look to me like the real McCoy, while the ones posted by TR-Spider look like some sort of adaptation.
Walezy says the original was pretty simple and quite crude. I hope it proves managable when we actually start puttng it in.

Re: Fiat independent rear axle
these were actually pictures of the 124 Spider Abarth, which uses a different type of connection between lower arm and damperstrut.while the ones posted by TR-Spider look like some sort of adaptation.
The 124 was the "firstborn" Abarth rear suspension.
On the 124 Abarth you adjust toe by shims between the 2 lower outside bolts,
while on the 131 Abarth a separate adjustable rod is used to adjust toe
(The wheelcarrier parts on the 131Abarth look exactly as in the Lancia Montecarlo rear axle...)

Tomek,
Are you partaking part in the Krokus rally in May ?
Would be nice to meet you there and see you in real action .
We would make a nice 131 team !
