Is it one of yours

Hi
I am in the process of purchasing an ex rally X1/9
It has a 2litre Twin cam from a Lancia Beta and has allegedly been built or fettled by yourself.

Do you keep records of engines worked on?
Would you know if I got hold of the engine number or is there any other way of telling?

I would like o know the spec but the history is a bit convoluted.

Many Thanks

Graham

It started life as a 1300, converted possibly by Faran into a 2ltr twin cam, in 1995 it became a rally car, had the engine reworked suspension etc and spent the next 10 years being a rally car in and around wales, it then disappeared for 6 years as best I can tell and resurfaced in Auchterader in Scotland where I purchased it. In those 6 years it had covered 24 miles. I got it in 2010 with the plan of having it as a project but in fact all it needed was the brakes bleeding and a service. A new 1 inch cambelt was fitted and it was back on the road in March 2011 with new seats harness etc to bring it up to date with MSA spec.

Thank you
Graham

I originally asked if you could identify from engine numbers and whether you kept records.

Neither of which you answered.

Apologies for breaking your protocols.

Offensive material removed
I am on so many forums with different cars and work that I forgot about your strict rules.

Not a problem

Thank you.

Graham
