Core Plugs popped out
Started my 2l twin cam today after a few weeks and two of the core plugs popped out. Can I refit them and seal them again or should they be replaced and how should they be sealed?

Re: Core Plugs popped out
I started her up and after about 5 mins I noticed a significant water leak. I tracked it down to two of the core plugs which had "fallen out". No other way to describe it. Water pouring out through one on the manifold side and one on the carb side. I have refitted them and sealed with gasket sealer, filled with antifreeze (none in it previously) and have run her for 10 mins. Seems OK now but worried it may happen again.

well, they only come out if the water in the block freezes.....
who knows what damage that can cause but you may have 'got away with it..'
