Greetings from downunder.
This is my first posting on the GCRE Forum so l thought i should wait till the vehicle actually ran before sharing its story with members.
The Fiat in question belongs to a close friend, Daniel P. It started life as an humble 1600 pushrod powered workhorse.
After purchasing the car, Daniel thought through the various options to repower including turbo, 16v, hot 8v and so on before coming across the Lancia Volumex powerplant.
Thanks to Guy Croft for supplying various items such as pulleys, short belt and idler, pump, spark plugs, head gasket and bolts, but most importantly, advice and data on suitable jetting as a commencement point.
Engine specs include gas flowed head, Alquati cams, friction coated pistons and 4 into1 headers.
The engine is yet to be run in or dyno tuned, so no output figures are available but first impressions were that it develops loads of torque and revs very freely.
thank you for now,
SB.
