Wildman,
I really like the full air dam. Does anyone know where I can find one for an '80 Spider? 8)

Rob,
I bought an old smashed one off an online website and molded a new one out of Carbon Fiber, just like my hood. unfortunatly the mold I made was not reinforced and broke when i pulled the part from it.. my hood mold survived as it was much stronger, I can remake my hood if needed.
I painted the spoiler as it just didnt look right in dark, while I think the hood looks fine in exposed carbon.

Absolutely beautiful! I'm partial to burgandy since that's the color of my 72. Is that the original 1438? Would you consider bringing the car to next year's Fiat Freakout in the Poconos? It really would be great to see it in person.

mdburchette,, name sounds familiar,, fiatspider.com?
Anyway I dont know the poc's is a haul from buffalo. The car has less then 200 miles since the fresh rebuild.
I would have to rent a trailer for the trip.
The car is a strange breed having a 1756 block with the original 1438 head. The head has a nice tripple grind, port matched. and was rebuilt allready and sitting on a shelf. The 1800 head had a heli coil in the num 4 spark hole.. so My machinist and I gasked matched the two and all that was needed was a drill to open a water port. The block is oringed and the pistons are forged and dished. Turbo is a t3 hybrid.
I have heard it said many times that the 1438 wont mate up with any thing beyone 1600 block but it runs great. And what the heck the head number matches the body,, it's AS0012184 if I remeber correctly.
Well see what the summer brings. when is the freakout anyway?

It will be held July 11 - 13. It would be interesting to see dyno numbers on this engine. Again, very nice work!
