I got hold of a spare 131 gearbox reasonably cheap - it differs from mine in that it has a rubber doughnut instead of a splined tailshaft. It also has a remote linkage with 'Abarth' cast into it.

I'd like to strip and rebuild one transmission from the best parts then have the spare for rebuild as and when. So I'm wondering whether the parts, particularly the tailshafts are interchangeable at all?
