thanks for the comments, I've been a bit busy with work, which takes priority.

But started to get a smaller lighter alternator fitted, so more photos soon. Also I've ordered a new engine loom for the additional electronics (injectors, ECU etc) and once I've sorted the air box it's dyno test time.....

Hello,

That engine looks amazing!

Are the valve tappets (buckets) standard Fiat with the lips machined off?

I am very curious how did you solve the lubrication for the front intake cam journal, which gets oil from the front auxiliary shaft bearing?
Thanks,

The solid tappets came from a well known conrod/tappet supplier I use.
On the lubrication issue, the new housing that spigots in the cyl. block has a groove to allow the oil to travel through the oil gallery.

hi all, found a bit of time to get back to my twincam engine build. Trumpets and airbox now done, as well as the alternator and the belts. The only thing left (easy to say only!) it's positioning the coil-pack and sourcing an ECU. Then it's dyno time!

Cos, I have an idea how to rebuild our wallet a bit.

Why don't you take some orders for the carbon cam covers .... I am sure there will be quite a few of us interested .

I am actually trying to design those carbon fibre covers right now so it should be available soon to all.

anyone interested, get in touch. The only problem is that i've gone the dry sump route and made the two covers out of one mould tool. Most people with wet sump arrangement will need one cover with the filler cap detail.

Thats a pretty one :) I especially like the airbox ...and here I was thinking nothing exciting was going on in the Fiat world these days.

thank you. Wildman, i've asked the carbon people to give me a quote 2-3 times but no success. It's the start of the F1 season for them and as you can imagine they are flat out with urgent work. I'll let you know as soon as i get a quote from them.

It's so true Guy. I had the busiest pre season to date and progress on the twin cam is slow to say the least. I'm waiting for a loom to be made and that's it (I think!)
