great forum!
I have tried to find threads covering my questions but with no succes.
Therefore:

I‚´m looking into what options i have, using Fiat parts, to "hot rod" an old 128 saloon (1100cc). I have not yet decided wich engine i will use. Probably a 1300 or 1500. When it comes to the gearbox i think it would be nice to have a 5 speed. Now, will a 5 speed fit in the 128? Necessary modifications? Are there preferable models(years, codes)?
If the interchangeability picture is to complex to describe, are there litterature where i can get the info?

If you click on the "downloads" section at the left hand sceen menu, then scroll down and click on "Gears" there's a useful PDF of gearboxes and ratio's that were fitted to various Fiats.

Guy, I know your not a big fan of links, but I think this may be of some use to a few people on this forum.
