dual carb clearance, remote power booster
Another option would be to mount a remote power booster somewhere else on the car. Lancia Scorpions and Montecarlos used this technique. Lancia should have boosted both the front and the rear on the Scorpions and Montes as with only the front being boosted, in a mid engine car, the fronts lock prematurely. I believe Lotus used twin remote boosters on the Europa. Using a remote booster setup alleviates the need to build another stout mounting point for the master cylinder; it can stay on the firewall.

I tried direct mounting twin (but compact) AP Racing master cylinders to the firewall on my 124CSA and I still could not get sidedrafts in. Fitting just one, don't know...

I'm working in a option similar than this, I would like to make a pedal box like Escort Gr.4, with the master cylinders integrated.
This is other way very similar than mine, it has the poer booster inverted.

Re: running side draft carbs on LHD 124
Thanks for finding this Guy, when you tried fitting the side drafts with the compact master cylinders was it with of without the booster fitted?Guy Croft wrote:Tom, hi

Re: Seat & Fiat 124 remote brake booster conversion
I happen to have my car stripped right now and pedal box is on the garage floor - its not a thing of great beauty right now (localised corrosion caused by brake fluid) but I will take a phot and post it so you can see how it works.
Reservoirs for brake cylinders are (of course) remote

Photos attached - should be self explanatory - Only one remote reservoir still attached. cable on RH side is for brake bias adjustment.
Sorry for rather grubby part, but its been in there (largely untouched) for over 30 years!
