Oil pump flow rate

Post by Robert »

Hello Guy,

Do you know the flow rate of an oil pump of the TC engine (Montecarlo pump) ?
Thank you,

the 130 abarth rotors according to Pace who had a look at them flow 28l/min per 1000 pump rpm. The gears measured 34mm od 40mm wide.

Thanks Cos, same gears as the MonteCarlo.

If anyone fancies having a go at working it out here are the fundamentals. Comparison with Pace assessment welcome.

Hello,

Thank you for the value. Do you know the ratio between the pump rev and the engine rev ? Because I don't think it is 28l/mn per 1000 rpm of the engine (182 l /mn @ 6500rpm !).

The pump goes at half crank speed.

I just counted the teeth on the driven gear and aux driveshaft (14 both)
