Lightweight inlet trumpet?

Today, Ive found something interresting at my local electronic store..
This is a subwoofer casing trumpet:







And I was wondering if these trumpets can be use as inlet stacks!
Here the mesurements:


Internal diameter of the small end (1.7885in=45.42mm sry about the mesurements in inch old habits!)


Internal diameter of the big end (1.9595in=49.77mm)


Total Lenght 130mm

The internal angle of the conicity is 1deg 91' 41''


Weight (1.8oz = 50g i think)

It will need modification of the internal finish I think because this one is too polish:





I will do heat tests on this one just to be sure that the material will resist to any conditions...

At about 0.89$can(very cheap) it can be a good bang for the buck if this work! These are easily modifiable,lightweight...What do you think about it?

48mm i/d will mean very low gas speed for most applications. I've had no end of rouble with 45mm ones!

Ah, OK. I have used the trumpets from JNTperfomance and have found them to be well made and they are very open to making 'specials'.
