Hi,
I have been measuring my combustion chamber volumes today and when I put the spark plug in the first chamber I noticed that it was fairly deeply recessed and I thought that this may impeed the flame travel from the plug across the combustion chamber. I took a few photos, please find them below.
Obviously the flame does not only travel horizontally, but this is the greatest distance and surely the burn must be as fast as possible.
This is probably a detail that only makes a very small differece but I would be very interested to hear your response.
Petert, you may have had some first hand experience with this.
Thanks,
Ben
