Not yet another Lada
Hello,
our goal is to make a fun rear drive car that is fast enough that can compete with modern R3T class.
The car will be powered with Fiat 2l TC engine that will probably later get an 16v Fiat Tipo head.

Some disassembly pictures. This chassis is very good, not much rust.

Re: Not yet another Lada
After some planing and looking we decided to relocate engine to the back, it is not much, some 2 - 3" but the center of front axle will go 1" to the front and rear to the back so it will improve a bit weight distribution. The car is so small I can't believe, in '90ties this was limousine and people in Croatia were lucky if they could afford it.

Re: Not yet another Lada
Just to clarify something. 5 years ago my brother and I drove national rally championship very successful with Skoda Fabia 1.4l. At last, now, we have an open class (it is class "S") in witch it is not needed homologation for a car to participate, so some radical turn in suspension, engine and roll cage is made. So, we will try to make something like Ford Escort mk2 modern group 4.

Re: Not yet another Lada
Steering rake is taken from a corsa C with electric servo. As we do not have to follow almost any rule, completely new front sub frame is made with double A arms, for this we bought some 25CrMo4 tubes. Subframe and A arms were made and strength tested in Solidworks app and geometry is calculated so that it is going to need only 0.5° of static negative camber. We will see if it will work in real life as it is constructed.
