Doing final in-situ carb mixtures and balance and some road testing to bed-in and prove out.

Really nice too this project nearly completed.

Some purists might be complaing why on on earth you should mount a Fiat TC engine in to a classic For Cortina, but do we really care? Absolutely no. What works, it works. As simple as that.

That Cortina looks superb, I like this clean look, especially under the hood. How much power has this engine ?

Sorry for stepping in here Guy, The Standard Cortina had a 1.5L Ford Kent Crossflow OHV engine which may have optimistically produced 80hp when new, but they also had a Lotus Cortina 1.6L TwinCam engine which again was optimistically claimed to have 140hp when new.

It's not in fact a Lotus - it's a Super which was already converted to a Fiat 2 liter TC, a very very tired one by the time I first saw it.

Cyril said to me, 'I won't be driving it that fast Guy'

I said, 'you will Cyril, you will......'

sorry about the photo - my light settings were wrong. Looked nice enough but wouldn't 'pull the skin off a Japanese pudding' to quote the well-known phrase.
