Thanks to the Homologation Officer at Fiat UK and his contacts at Turin I now know for sure that Fiat have no extant records AT ALL of chassis numbers, engine numbers or colors (exterior or interior) of these cars.

NO RECORDS WERE EVER KEPT!

Unbelievable but, sadly true..

Which means apart from anything else - that passing-off a fake is easier than ever.

I ask all owners to publish their car's 124 CSA chassis number and engine number here with photos in order that we can, together, reconstruct this important archive.

Something like 1012 x 124 CSA were built, some were sold as Stradale models to the public of which some were rallied privately and some were converted to Gp4 spec at Abarth.

NOBODY IN THE WORLD knows the true story and I should like to look into this.

Please be so kind as to tell me:

1. Chassis number
2. Engine number
3. Exterior color
4. Date of manufacture if known
5. Name of present owner!

There is little point doing this if you want to be secretive...

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

if you know someone with one of these, please pass this on, it IS IMPORTANT...
