Twin cam traveller

Post by tcmoggy »

Hi,

Finally got around to taking some pics of the Thraveller that I bought last month that needed a new engine.

She's a '63 with a 2.0 TC motor and 5 speed box. The engine was bought from Cos and has a list of quality parts in it that most certainly pack a little punch when you hit the loud pedal.
The engine has high bomp pistons, matched rods, balanced bottom end, stage 1 cams and a flowed head, R1 carbs and a host of other goodies.
The front end is lowered minor torsion bar with telescopic shock conversion, Fiesta discs and clipers, the rear is MkII Escort with anti tramp bars and telescopic shocks.
We've had a few "teething" problems with her, no oil pressure, oil leak under pressure and finally the prop donut let go at high speed in the outside lane which was interseting.
The engine was dyno'd in it's previous home and developed a healthy 145 hp so she's off to the rilling road in a week or so and I'll let you know how she does with the bike carbs.
SHe's an on going project, paint and bodywork being done over the winter and a freshen up to put my own mark on her.
Hope you like her, here are some pics

Jeff
