124 1800 Sport Coupe Norway

Post by Abarthnorway - Remi L »

Hi!

One of my Fiats a 124 Sport Coupe 1800 1976 - with no rust, but a sagging paint job....

Sorry for the pic quality - mobile camera - taken prior to import to Norway from Sweden.

Completely standard except for the wheels.

Hi!

After really abusing this car as a daily driver/goods carrier for the whole spring, summer & autumn, I begin to realise how special these cars are.

When comparing to the family car - an Audi stationwagon - this old 75 Fiat has been utterly reliable with no real problems whatsoever. The only issues has been a leaking coolant hose, and the exhaust rear exhaust box - costing about 1/50 of what I spent on the newer Audi in the same period.

But best of all its fun to drive, a kind of mental therapy I don`t find in newer cars these days. Keeps my stress level and blood pressure under control:-) and a smile on my face every day.

Anyway some last pictures before it is parked for the winter - waiting for some uprated suspension bushes, better springs and dampers, and a 2 litre fast road engine transplant.

Definately a different car in the garage. Stands out in the crowd these days - biggest problems seems to be the sensitive car alarm on my neighbours car going off every time I start the car. LOL...

16 Inch Integrale wheels and tyres really made a difference to both look and handling.

They just do not make cars like this anymore.... too bad.
