Interesting answer, Guy. Not to question your judgement, but would you mind you elaborating on your reasons, please? How would you propose removing the coating?

There are solvents that will dissolve teflon - which is what it will be, contact

Yours are coated by robot at mfr and the layer thickness done manually would be impossible to assure. It is very easy to overcoat and the rotors won't turn at all, even with a simple figure 8 Roots blower. Moreover my conductive nickel-polymer needs baking at 220 deg and the rotors will almost certainly 'morph' at that temperature...

Would not be fun to do and render scrap, would it?!

Thanks Guy. I've read all sorts about what they're coated with. I'd always thought it was Teflon, but then I read that it was just regular powder coat. It certainly seems Teflon-like to me but then this is the first 'charger I've taken apart.

Thanks for explaining why your coating would be no good.

I will drop the company you mention a line, it sounds like having it all stripped off is the most sensible idea.
