Re: Why does the throttle plate look like it does

And interestingly I know that if you inject onto the throttle plate (if your engine has fuel injection) the power goes up - simply because the turbulence helps still further to mix the gasoline and air. Nice point here Guy, but we should remember that almost every engine with ITBs, has the injector...

Re: Why does the throttle plate look like it does

Do you mean this? If yes, BMW Motorsports did this in mid-eighties on the E30 M3. There is another variation also, called "barrel-type throttle valve", which gives even more control over the entire throttle opening range. ONLY with Guy's permission, I will take some time to post a review ...

Why does the throttle plate look like it does

...on a carburetor? Should it not look like "valve" with a small diameter and increasing diameter with full throttle? From the conclusion by DEEPAK RANJAN BHOLA (1) at page 34 (Link) where I guess Deepak found that the pressure and flow will be "disturbed" if a throttle plate cha...

Re: Problem with identifying twin cam engine and mating gear

Hi
When I bought my car (124 CC) it was said to me that it was a Regata engine in it (1585). The number on the cylinder head was 5992169 and the number on the block was 1492041.

Re: Headers (extractor) which Brand?

Hi Miro and Mark
Miro
The Petronix ignitor is an electronic ignitor and a Flame flower is a high perfomance coil.

Mark
I`ll went for the Fiat 4-2 original again and hope that the crack in my old 4-2 was just "bad luck" and not caused by heat problem.

Re: Headers (extractor) which Brand?

Hi Thanks a lot, yes it seems that it will be hard to find a header "off the shelf". The one I find was from Vickauto, but that will perhaps not suit because it is not made for a 2 liter engine, one other I found was from a firm located in Australia and they have the steering wheel on the ...

124 gearbox/Argenta engine

Hi I have a problem with getting the gearbox from an 124 cc (124A100) to fit to an Argenta engine (132DB2AO).The gearbox shaft is to long 3-4 mm. When I measured the gearbox to the old regata engine it was a distance between the gearbox shaft and the "bottom" of 5 mm. (The bearing have the...

2 liters Argenta Engine in 124 sc from 73

Hi! I got an Argenta 2.0 engine that I will try to put in my Fiat 124 sc cc from 1973, I‚´m from Sweden so it‚´s left steerwheel. Now it is a Regatta engine in the car but I guess the gearbox is the original from 73. I have taken the injection away and have 40 idf that I‚´ll use instead. Ot...
