Could it be valve seat recession?

Re: My Lancia Delta Integrale 8V restoration project

Generally narrowband sensors should be close to turbos, but widebands need to be a little further away (possibly 1 metre?) as they are far more sensitive to heat.

For a one off installation for a short period you might be ok but I'd have mounted it a little further back.

Re: Nothelle's Audi coupe Gt.

Fantastic. I do think the 5 cylinder cars are one of the best sounding cars ever, mind you I am a little biased having owned a 20v turbo Fiat and now an Audi RS6 - sadly not an Ur Quattro.

Re: Audi Quattro.

Hugely impressive work there. I own a quattro myself now - a 2003 RS6.

Lovely stuff as always from Guy (and Ian).

Re: The affect of degreasers on rubber parts/gaskets/belts

Thanks Guy

Engine is now on a home made stand with a drip tray underneath so I'll get stuck in this weekend.

The affect of degreasers on rubber parts/gaskets/belts

My engine is currently out of the car as I’m getting rid of the whole car (I won’t bore you with the detail – and this isn’t a sales plug). I’m going to give it a really nice clean so it looks a little nicer but I’m worried about that the detergents/solvents might damage have on the parts fitted. Wh...

Re: Citroen BX 16v Rotrex compressuer

Looks really good. Is the last pic the finished car? I'd be wary of the hose which ends near the cam pulleys - especially if its for venting oil vapour to atmosphere (which is an MOT failure by the way) - you don't want oil on the cambelt. I assume its not finished though and its supposed to go the ...

Re: Delta Integrale Evo1 long term project

Looks lovely. I'm so jealous.

Will the engine rocking back and forth buckle the airbox section or is there sufficient give in the inlet pipe/turbo hose? (ofcourse you might also have very stiff engine mounts too)
